Who can participate?
What is involved? There are two sessions in this study: an interview session, and an MRI session. The interview session helps us figure out If and how you might fit into our study. We will ask you questions about your emotional and physical well-being. We will also ask you to fill out some questionnaires and do a few paper-and-pencil and computer tests. This interview session typically lasts 2-4 hours. If you are a good fit for our study, after the interview we will schedule another time to do the second part of the study. This second part of the study will involve an MRI scan while you are doing a computerized task in the scanner. This session typically lasts 2 hours.
Compensation You will receive $20 for the initial part of the assessment session (regardless of whether or not you are found eligible for the study), $30 for the remainder of the assessments, and $50 for the MRI scan session. If you complete only part of any session, you will be paid based on how much you have completed. Payment will be mailed to you by check or gift card.
More about the study
We are looking for volunteers aged 18-60 with a history of psychosis. You must allow us to contact your current psychiatrist or service provider in order to participate. This will allow us to have an accurate understanding of your illness. If you are not currently receiving treatment and would desire so, we will provide you referral information to help you receive services.
