How to Manage Your Account Information

If you want to update your account information, you will need to go to the My Account page.

My Account: The My Account link under Volunteers appears only when you are logged in. It allows you to update your account information. You can log in by going to UM login page.

On this page, the Edit Profile link will allow you to update the information you entered while enrolling into UMClinicalStudies, including contact preferences, enrollment questions, and also provides the option for UM patients to provide access to their medical records. The Edit Profile link also provides you to option of removing your account from UMClinicalStudies.

The Enroll link will take you to the enrollment page where you can enter another person into UMClinicalStudies. The enroll link allows you to enroll yourself, a child, or another adult as a Volunteer. By clicking on the corresponding link for each group, you will be guided through the consent process for each person that you choose to enroll. The consent forms will give you important information about UMClinicalStudies, so please read them very carefully.

You will see the Change Account Link on your Volunteer Menu if you have entered information for another person in UMClinicalStudies. Simply click on this link to move between accounts.

Remove your Account: You may remove your account from UMClinicalStudies at any time. Under My Account, select Edit Profile and then click on Remove this Account. Simply check "Yes, I would like to remove this account from UMClinicalStudies" and select 'Remove'. Your account will be removed. You may reinstate your account by contacting UMClinicalStudies.

The Possible Studies screen allows the following actions:

Contacted Studies: These are studies that you have asked to contact you by using the 'Have the Selected Studies Contact Me' button. This could have been through the Possible Studies List or the individual study details page (accessible by clicking on the study link). The studies on this list have received notification that you are interested in their study. They may call you with further questions to determine if you are interested and eligible to enroll in the study. Please note that although a study may receive notification that you are interested, they may not be able to get back to you immediately. You may also want to try to contact a study through their contact phone or email, which should be listed in the details of the study posting (accessible by clicking on the Title name or IRB #).

Current Studies: Current Studies are those studies that you are currently participating in. Studies visible in this section have been marked as "I am in Selected Studies". This is to aid you in organizing your studies. If you have not marked any studies for this list, you will receive the message, "Sorry you are not currently in any studies"

Removed Studies: Removed Studies are those studies that you have removed from your other lists. If you decide that you are still interested in these studies, you can put them back on your Possible Studies list by selecting 'Return Selected Studies'.
